Last week I travelled to NYC to see some of my teammates from this summer. I found out that I will not be alone in deciding to go back to China this summer. Two other teammates, Cassidy and Sean are planning to return this summer. While we were up there, we took a bus down to NJ to stay with the church that hosted us for orientation. It was a great time of sharing for all of us who went. It brought back lots of memories of when I first met my teammates. A few of the student we talked to are praying about applying to go to China this summer. I ate Chinese food for every single meal while i was there....I miss Chinese food. Can't wait to go back
So I had this revelation one day in my quiet time some time this semester and I thought I'd share it with yall and you can let me know what you think. The devotion was on sin. I realized that sin is yet another way we can praise God. If there was so sin, there would be no reason for God to be exalted. A big reason that God deserves our praise is because we suck at being perfect. Only He is holy. So yes we have our flesh and we should not like it because it inhibits our ability to be as holy as we think we should be, but we should thank God for humbling us with sin so that His glory could be shown. So that we can say "nothing but the blood of Jesus," and "because He lives I can face tomorrow."
